For the forth year running, from 26th May to 2nd June, Dorset Coastlink will lead a series of guided walks for the public along a stretch of the Jurassic Coast. Starting at Charmouth and finishing at Studland, we will be joined by a host of expert speakers and visit a variety of fascinating sites along the way to bring to life the wildlife, history, geology and archaeology of this amazing world renowned coastline. This breath-taking walk raises awareness of the issues, past and present, that have affected our coast and its future threats, as well as raising crucial funds for Coastlink projects.

National Marine Week 2008 in Dorset, from 2nd to 10th August, will be celebrated at Coastlink Centres along the coast and on Portland, starting with Dorset’s annual Seafest event on Sunday 3rd August at Kimmeridge Bay. All week a programme of exciting and fun activities, many free, will entice children and adults to discover the animals, plants and ecology of the coast. While exploring Dorset’s fascinating marine world, they will also learn how important it is to limit our own impact upon it.
